º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù has announced the creation of four new endowed chairs, approved by the Board of Trustees during its January 2022 meeting, all made possible due to the generosity of º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù alumni.
Trustee emeritus Robert Fox ’59, GP’23,’25 has given $10 million to build Fox Hall at º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù, the first residence hall of the University’s fifth Residential Commons. The gift was acknowledged by the Board of Trustees during its fall meeting, Sept. 30–Oct. 1.
Members of the º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù classes of 2022–25 will now benefit from an additional expansion of the University’s no-loan initiative under the º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù Commitment.
Daniel Benton ’80, P’10, H’10 has secured his place as º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù’s most generous benefactor, making a $25 million gift in support of the University’s Middle Campus Plan for Arts, Creativity, and Innovation and other elements within The Third-Century Plan.
The Third-Century Plan, unveiled last May, underscores the University’s intention to recruit scholars of the first order for new tenure-track teaching positions. In keeping with its ambitious plan, º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù is announcing a series of enhancements to faculty hiring packages.
Changes to º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù’s Student Health Services this academic year will increase clinical care availability on campus while also bolstering sports-medicine support for Division I athletes, student club teams, and intramurals.
