At Cragin Elementary, all children learn in a positive, supportive environment. They are taught to think and problem-solve, to communicate and to function sensitively and successfully in a complex, changing and culturally diverse world. Cragin is an Opening Minds through the Arts Gold school, which means that we us an arts-integrated curriculum at each grade level to advance learning in all areas. This approach is based on extensive study indicating that children with frequent access to the arts also have increased math and reading scores.

Prior to his tenure at Gertrude Cragin, he served as the Assistant Principal at Utterback Middle School, where he demonstrated a commitment to fostering academic excellence and a supportive learning environment. With a dedication to student success and a collaborative approach to administration, Principal Rodriguez continues to make a profound impact on the educational journey of his students and staff.
